**Product Description:**

Up for sale is a magnificent, authentic 19th-century (circa 1850–1890) Indo-Persian or Mughal-style brass pilgrim flask (surahi / canteen). This heavy, flat-sided vessel was traditionally used by travelers or pilgrims to carry water or wine, designed with a flat profile to rest comfortably against the hip or saddle. 

The entire body of the flask features exceptional, deeply hand-chased floral arabesque motifs and dense foliate scrollwork. The recessed details are highlighted with a traditional dark black patina, creating a striking contrast against the warm, aged brass. 

**Authenticity & Craftsmanship Highlights:**

* **Hand-Cut Screw Threads:** Features a functional threaded neck and screw-top closure. Close inspection reveals the beautiful, slight irregularities and tool marks of authentic manual hand-crafting (not a modern machine-cut piece).

* **Freehand Chasing:** The geometric borders and vertical accent lines display the genuine freehand overruns and variations of a skilled master artisan.
